# Share a page view

Share the exact page you are looking at — including the ART, PI, team, filters and view options — with a single link. The data stays live: whoever opens the link sees the current state of the plan.

### Create a share link

#### Open the page

Open the page you want to share: plan, team breakout, progress, team progress or cross-ART.

#### Set filters and view options

Set the filters and view options exactly as you want the recipient to see them.

#### Open sharing options

Click the **⋯ (more)** button in the top-right of the page and choose **Share**.

#### Choose recipient access

Choose what the recipient can do:

* **Interactive** — opens the full app; the recipient can change the plan.
* **View only** — opens a read-only page; changing the plan is disabled.

#### Copy and share the link

Copy the link and paste it in Slack, Teams, e-mail or a Confluence page.

#### Good to know

* The link includes your current view and filter choices, so the recipient lands on exactly your view.
* Data is always live — reopening the link later shows the up-to-date plan.
* The recipient's own Jira permissions still apply: they only see the work items they are allowed to see in Jira.
* A share link expires after **one year**.
* The recipient needs access to your Jira site

### View-only links

> A view-only link shares a *result*, not a workspace. Use it for stakeholders, senior management or anyone who should read the plan without the risk of changing it.

#### What the recipient sees

The page opens in a clean, compact layout:

* A breadcrumb header — `Plan / ART / PI / Team` — instead of the full navigation bar.
* A yellow **VIEW ONLY** badge. Clicking it explains that changes are disabled and offers **Open interactive view** for people who do have edit rights.

#### What is disabled

Anything that changes the plan: dragging work items, editing capacity, objectives, milestones and risks, and the settings pages. Reading, scrolling, opening a work item and switching page, ART, PI or team all remain available.

#### Opening filters and view options anyway

The recipient can still open the filter and view-option bars from the **⋯** menu — they only change *how* the data is shown, never the plan itself.

### Embed in Confluence

> A view-only link can be embedded in a Confluence page, so a program dashboard, status report or steering-committee page always shows the live plan.

#### Create a view-only share link

In Ativo, open the page you want to embed and create a **View only** share link (see *Share a page view*).

#### Edit the Confluence page

Open the Confluence page and click **Edit**.

#### Add an iframe macro

Type `/iframe` and choose the **Iframe** macro (Confluence Cloud). On Confluence Data Center, use the **HTML** or **iFrame** macro your admin has enabled.

#### Paste the link

Paste the view-only link in the **URL** field.

#### Set dimensions

Set a generous **height** — a PI plan needs room; around **800–1000 px** works well. Set the width to 100%.

**Publish** the page.

#### Tips for a clean embed

* Use a **view-only** link: the compact header and the closed filter bars leave the maximum space for the plan.
* Set the filters before sharing — for example one ART, or one team — so the embedded view stays readable.
* Embed the **progress page** for status reporting and the **plan page** for scope and dependencies.
